"The Artistic Discovery Contest"... Thank you note

Thank you to all the participants and staff in attendance of the awards ceremony sponsored by District 20 - Congressman Joaquin Castro and Dr. Ricardo Romo, president of the University of Texas at San Antonio.

The event was a success and a group of very talented high school students were honored for their outstading artistic work. Numerous entries were evaluated and the top winners were awarded certificates of participation and gifts. A trip to Washington DC was awarded to the first prize winner where the winning art piece will be exhibit at the White House for a year.

It has been an honor for me to have been selected two consecutive years as a judge and I wish all of the participants a bright and prosperous future. The ceremony was held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at the UTSA Downtown Gallery.
